Hedges Creek. A wetlands reconstruction.

Adjacent to our Tualatin, Oregon campus is Hedges Creek, a two-mile long wetland marsh. It supports deer, river otter, mallards, Canadian Geese, Red-Tailed Hawks and Great Blue Herons to name a few.

Beginning in 2008, we launched an effort to improve the wetlands buffer that abuts our property. We removed invasive plants like Himalayan Blackberry and Scotch Broom. In their place we replanted 235 native trees and shrubs. The health of this wetlands is already showing signs of improvement.
