Memorial Day weekend calls for plenty of BBQ parties and potlucks. This year, we’ve gathered the best dips, appetizers and sides you can bring to or serve at your next party. You can’t go wrong with these recipes!
Dips & Appetizers
Who doesn’t love a good dip for extra chips or veggies? The easiest option this year, is to keep some of our new hummus on hand. Serve it as a delicious dipping side, or get more creative with some of these ideas. It’s also great for a last minute alternative when a recipe doesn’t turn out or when you have more people than expected and need an extra appetizer. Our hummus is always on stand-by, just waiting in your pantry for whenever you need it.
Last summer, we made this Tomato, Bacon and Grilled Scallion Dip for an outdoor lunch, and it was the perfect start to a delicious meal. It uses our Hearty Tomato Bisque as a base, and it’s the perfect make-ahead dip. If you’re feeling a little more traditional, we’ve got two amazing bean dips. First, your classic 7 Layer Bean Dip and second, this Creamy Bean Dip from our pal Amelia of Eating Made Easy.
Nothing says BBQ party like a side of Baked Beans. Open a few packages of our Organic Baked Beans, heat and serve for the easiest, tasty side to complement your BBQ spread. We also like to have some of our ready-to-eat Mac & Cheese on the table, perfect for the kiddos.
If you’re looking for a few more veggies, we love this Vegetable Quinoa Pilaf or this Fresh Spring & Herb Pea Couscous Salad. Plus, both are really easy to put together. If you opt for a salad, mix it up with this delicious Carrot-Ginger Dressing.
We’re always looking for tasty and carefree recipes to kick off the summer. What are some of your Memorial Day staples? Share your photos on our Facebook page. We can’t wait to see ‘em!
