Here’s a simple comfort food recipe with a little gourmet twist. Perfect for cold fall and winter days – either as a light meal or starter. Bursting with tomato flavor and little spice – delicious!

• 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
• 3 large cloves garlic, crushed or finely minced
• 1 tbsp paprika
• 32 fl. Pacific Natural Foods Organic Creamy Tomato Soup
• 1 cup Pacific Natural Foods Free Range Chicken Broth
• Salt and black pepper to taste
• Hot sauce to taste
• Butter
• 6 slices French bread
• 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Heat olive oil in a stew pot. Sauté garlic until oil is infused. Raise heat slightly, add paprika. Saute until paprika just begins to sizzle; taking care not to brown garlic. Add Organic Creamy Tomato soup, water or broth, and salt; simmer 20 minutes. If using fresh tomatoes, add additional salt.
Add a few dashes of black pepper if you like.
Butter slices of bread liberally. Press one side of each piece into the grated Parmesan. Broil or grill until toasty, watching to make sure the Parmesan doesn't crisp. Reduce heat on the soup.
Dash in some hot sauce and serve placing one French bread crouton in each bowl and covering with soup. Add additional Parmesan to top.
