What does Fair Trade Certification™ mean?

Fair Trade Certification guarantees fair wages and decent working conditions, benefits workers’ communities, and promotes the use of sustainable farming methods. Fair Trade is a partnership between pickers, traders and the consumer. Fair Trade certification means that:

  • The area where the ingredient is grown meets specific standards for the wages, living situation, and working conditions of its pickers.
  • For every purchase, a Fair Trade premium goes directly back to the workers themselves. A committee, elected by the workers, decides how these funds will be used to meet the community's most serious needs. Workers have used Fair Trade premiums to hire school teachers, build maternal health clinics, and bring electricity to their villages, among other projects.

Can I heat Simply Coffees?

Simply Coffees are best enjoyed cold, however you may heat them up to 180 degrees without compromising their quality. We do not recommend heating them above 180 degrees as this might cause the natural milk proteins to separate and appear curdled. Do not bring them to a boil. Note: The packages containing our Simply Coffees are not suitable for use in microwave ovens. Pour contents into a separate container for heating.
