We have one earth to protect, so we should leave it better than when we found it. In 2000, to achieve sustainability, we founded Western Oregon Organic Farms to grow some of our own organic ingredients. Pacific's Environmental Group is reaching for another very important goal — to be environmentally neutral and recycle all our waste by 2007. We're already making great strides.
We recycle over 40 tons of cardboard a month and have reduced packaging to a minimum. The cardboard we use in most of our product cases averages 59% recycled materials. Last year we converted over 6.5 million pounds of soy by-product into reusable feed. If there is ever a greener solution, we'll be sure to find it.
